Complete hood mechanism TD/E/F21 drophead

This is the complete hood mechanism not including the three timber members. They are available seperately. This package includes the side plates on which the hoops pivot, the metal hoops, cams, side rails and side support brackets as well as the counterbalence springs and rods.

Set of three timber members which, together with the metal parts of the hood frame (available seperately) form the complete hood assembly not including the fabric or lining.

Drophead waist rail TD/E/F21

Timber waist rail which goes around the back of the car and to which the base of the hood is secured. Accurately jig built, the rail is made in five pieces screwed together. An essential component when converting a saloon to drophead.

Drophead hood peak rail TD/E/F21

Timber rail for the front of the hood mechanism which clips onto the screen top when the hood is raised. There will need to be a certain amount of carpentry to make the rail a perfect fit. This is intentional as each car is different and some adjustment is always needed to set the hood correctly.

Drophead screen surround TD/E/F21

Cast aluminium screen surround for the drophead. This comes in three parts to enable the surround to be set up for the individual car you are working on, and will need the screen rubber retaining flange transfering from your old screen surround. The base of the pillars should screw into the top of the A – post in the same screw holes of the original pillar.

B – post TD/E/F 21

B – post or rear door pillar made from solid ash for the Park Ward bodied cars. As these cars are handbuilt, although these pillars are carefully made, you must assume some work will be needed to get a good fit. Price is for one pillar, unless you need a pair, please specify which side you require. There is a small difference between the drophead and saloon pillars, please specify you requirements.
